Overview:
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Principal Software Engineer to lead our software development team in building scalable, well-designed, and architected systems for our product development company. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of development, with extensive experience in designing and building large-scale systems.
What you will be doing?
Design and develop high-quality, scalable, and maintainable Java-based backend systems for our product development company.
Lead and mentor a team of software engineers in implementing best practices, architecture, and design principles in software development.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features, enhancements, and bug fixes.
Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our product architecture, technology stack, and infrastructure.
Continuously evaluate and improve the performance, security, and scalability of our systems.
Keep up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in software engineering, and propose new ideas and innovations to improve our products and processes.
From your experience, you should:
8+ years of experience in software development with a focus on backend systems.
Proven experience in designing and building scalable, well-designed, and architected systems.
Strong understanding of software development best practices, including Agile methodologies, design patterns, and code reviews.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Experience in mentoring and leading a team of software engineers
Solid understanding of database technologies, such as SQL, NoSQL, and caching mechanisms.
Strong understanding of web technologies, such as HTTP, REST, and SOAP.
Familiarity with cloud-based technologies, such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
