The focus about the project is
To start, operational stability and observability will be the primary focus as Availity works to accelerate our migration to AWS hosting resources. Long term, this associate will play an important role in Cloud Operations and maintaining a hybrid on-prem/cloud enterprise.
Must have Skills
-Server Operating System baseline management/troubleshooting -Hypervisor proficiency -Automation Experience -Storage platform management
Day-to- Day functions
Scripted server deployments, virtual resource modifications, system patching, providing troubleshooting assistance and responding quickly to triggered alerts/alarms.
Candidate Background
Windows: MCSE or Work history equivalent, experience in windows version 2016 to current version. Ability to troubleshoot common Windows OS issues. -Linux: Linux Plus Certification, good understanding of core Linux commands on non-Debian OS and the ability to problem solve common OS issues. -AWS: Cloud Practitioner certifications and/or Solution Architect

Diving deep into the administration and support of both on-premises and cloud datacenter infrastructure, with a focus on storage, compute, containers, and virtualization services, mastering the tools of the trade.

Responsible for infrastructure-related automation solutions as you take charge of their administration and support, unlocking new levels of efficiency and innovation.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technology field or equivalent in comparable work experience
4+ years of experience supporting on prem and or major cloud, enterprise scale datacenter infrastructure
4+ years of experience utilizing automation, scripting, and infrastructure as code tools
4+ years of experience supporting observability of datacenter infrastructure
Proficiency with Microsoft Windows Server operating system
Proficiency with VMware operational suites
General networking TCP/IP knowledge
Working experience installing and troubleshooting server hardware such as hard drives, FC, RAM
Knowledge of best security practices throughout all aspects of the infrastructure.
Experience with backup and disaster recovery principles.
Available to work off-hours to perform maintenance or in case of emergencies.
Work independently and as part of a team to support a global organization on incidents, support requests, projects, and other initiatives.
Good understanding of best practice in Data Center operations and support.
Effective time management and organizational skills.
Learn from and educate your fellow team members.
Enterprise level experience maintaining, enhancing and troubleshooting:Compute platforms and services File and Block type Storage platforms and services Virtualization platforms and services Container platforms and services
